Woman, I feel you
Love is that thing we can’t put off, we travel near and far to experience it. In our withholding and in our over giving, we desire the same; to experience true union with someone.
In comes (insert name here) and it feels as though your stars and their stars align in harmony. It’s as if everything you prayed for in a human met you at just the right time. You begin opening, you begin letting their love in and you begin giving more and more of yourself to this person.
And then, it all gets real. Your past fears, hurts and conditionings begin swimming to the surface. You realise that this human has their insecurities too. You realise that unless you are both willing to take responsibility for your own baggage, you place all your power outside yourself. This is where you lose it first.
Each time you point the finger, you lose a little of yourself.
Each time you take the blame for something you didn’t do, you lose a little of yourself.
So in this moment, I ask you to recall a moment you either didn’t take responsibility or you took too much responsibility. I ask you to forgive that moment and choose a new way moving forward.
How?
By offering the apology you know you should have given.
By speaking up instead of staying silent when you’re being blamed for someone’s inability to take responsibility.
